Description
Vehicle has covered approximately 200,000 miles and has undergone extensive recent refreshing.
A large amount of components have been replaced due to the vehicle being purchased with no evidenced based history. It was claimed that the engine was replaced with an 80,000 mile engine when the odometer was at 160,000 miles. This would put the engine to 120,000 miles. As there was no evidence to support such a replacement the vehicle is being listed at the odometer reading of 200,000 miles. The MOT expires on the 17th September. Previous MOT history can be viewed online via the government website.
MECHANICAL
The engine has had various gaskets replaced, a new sump, front cover, aux drive belt, thermostat and housing, radiator, oil cooler, starter motor and has undergone a full service of filters and liquids.
It has had a dual-mass clutch and flywheel fitted as the solid has a negative effect on gearboxes and a clutch slave cylinder was also replaced. The vehicle has had new both front and rear brake discs, brake pads and wheel bearings. It has had replacement rear anti roll bar drop links, front drop links, wishbones, track rod ends and new front winter tyres. The propshaft has also had its bearings replaced and a re-oil and seal of the rear differential. A replacement bonnet lock was also fitted as the transits have a habit of breaking this component.
BODY
The rear body is 15.5 ft in length and built from steel and not aluminium from a professional coachworks and not an amateur attempt. It has been fitted with a 13,000lb (5 tonne) winch that has a single wireless remote. There are two 8ft loading ramps housed under the body with some removing straps attached and the body has been fitted with side lights and rear side markers for better perception whilst manoeuvring. The rear body is also covered by two rear facing LED spot lamps bars for night-time operations.
OTHERS
Other additional information to note, fitted with front grille hazard lights, rear bench seat has been removed as the rear was used for storage of wheels and tools when transporting vehicles to racing circuits. Two roof mounted air horns are installed and wired into a separate activation button to not compromise the annual MOT (not currently operating but will seek to rectify before sale).
NEGATIVES
With most vehicles there are always negatives. The gearbox has a failed 4th gear popping out when being selected and has been driven by skipping 4th moving through the gears, so the vehicle is still fully driveable but this is something to replace at earliest convenience. There are minor leaks in the front door windows when driving in the rain at speed. I have added sealant and replaced defective clips causing this however not tested to answer whether that has been corrected. The drivers seal has the common drivers chair rip when entering and exiting but covered by seat covers. The rear compartment floor has been removed as it has well beyond life and was just replace by some spare carpet. The bonnet has been dented by an articulated lorry reversing into it which shows a dent on the front edge and a bend in the offside upper side which is covered from view by the bonnet cover.
Central locking takes a few pushes of the button for it to lock and double lock. There are two dash warning lights illuminated, brake pad sensor which has been disconnected and a maintenance reminder.
EXTRAS
The vehicle will include all the necessary components to conduct vehicle transportation. There are two sets of ratchet straps (8) including wheel protectors, an axle brother for winching immobile vehicles, a couple of small shackles, a heavy duty motorbike wheel chock, spare aluminium wheel ramp for loading trikes. There are also some constructed wooden ramp extensions for the lowest of vehicles.
Other than registration documentation there is very little to accompany the vehicle. I can supply some invoices for work carried out on the vehicle during my ownership and also details of the qualified mechanic who carried out the extensive work to cross reference.
If there are any questions regarding the vehicle or information you require that I have not mentioned then please feel free to enquire. There are three single keys, one for the ignition, one for the bonnet release and one for the fuel filler cap.
Regarding a sale/delivery. I can have the vehicle driven to a closer location for sale however a large deposit will be required before so that I am not systematically messed about. Viewings are welcome at an arranged time and location. Payment for the vehicle will be required as a cash payment or a direct bank transfer and the vehicle will not be released until a cleared payment has been confirmed.
Please note that the vehicle has been listed on other trading platforms and may be removed at any time without warning.
